Ok, these apps are good from my point of view.. hehe.. May not be good to u..

In the previous post, i mentioned some good medical apps and now i will continue plus some non- medical apps that are cool..

All right, the above pic was created using iSteam.. u can write anything on ur iphone screen then i screen shot it..

2. Taber’s Medical Dictionary
3. ePocrates
4. Harrison’s Practice
5. Stedman’s Medical Dictionary
6. Oxford Dictionary of English
7. View ppt
8. View PDF
9. Flight Status

So.. lets start off with the medical apps..

Hmm.. Taber’s Medical Dict not very famous i suppose.. we always use Dorland’s or Stedman’s..

So i have Stedman’s Medical Dictionary as well..

More reliable?

Next is Epocrates..

Epocrates is all about drugs.. All the doctors with PDA phone will have this software.. but until now i still dunno how useful is that.. maybe not up to the level yet?

Still student ma.. haha..

Lets say i type Warfarin..

So they will show u a list of information u may be interested..

Lets say i tap on the adult dosing..

Then they will show u the dosing lo..

Not my level yet.. management.. Year 5..

All right, the next one is Harrison’s Practice..

I think all the medical field ppl heard of this great book..

U can search the info u want..

Lets say i searched acute MI..

Then they will show u all the info..

When u tap on the button “Jump” on the upper right side, they will show u a list of main topic covered so u can quickly jump to the topic u want to c..

Not bad huh?

My english is not very good.. so i need an English dict to help me..

Oxford Dictionary of English

Oxford.. the trusted brand.. haha..

this is what u get in Oxford..

Quite handy..

I always use Oxford dict in my N73.. it’s fast n handy..

I can check any words anytime anywhere..

So..

Finished Basic Medical sciences for the previous 2 years..

I kept all the softcopy lecture notes for only 1 purpose..

For my PDA phone..

So.. let me show u how it looks like in iPhone..

I used Memory stick (an iPhone app) to transfer and view the files (doc, ppt, PDF)..

I opened 1 lecture note in PDF to show..

In the portrait view..

In landscape view..

Then power point format..

Portrait view..

Landscape view..

If u can see the wordings or pic clearly, u can zoom in by double tapping the screen.. then it will zoom..

Applies to both PDF and power point..

The last one for today is the Flight Status app..

This app is very useful for those frequent flyer..

U can choose ANY airport in the world..

Date period will be yesterday, today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow..

4 choices..

Then it will show u all the flights available..

U tap on the particular flight interested..

It will show u in detail..

I checked with the airport website.. it’s the same info..

Trusted i think..

I tried Korea’s Inchion airport..

It worked as well!!

U can try it as well..
