iPhone 3G

I just got my iPhone 3G from Maxis today..

Went to City Square and signed a 1 year contract with Maxis and got my iPhone 3G 16gb Black straight away with guidance from Apple expert on how to use it..

Haha..

Everyone is saying Maxis plan is so dammnnn expensive..

Actually if u think it properly..

If u buy an IPhone 3G 16gb from singapore, it will cost u around 1190SGD..

Around RM2900 lo..

Then signing Maxis cheapst plan.. iValue 1 which means RM100 per month..

At first u will say “Wah, Kanasai RM100 per month and i have to pay RM2290 for my phone also!!”

But if u add all together.. then u will have to pay a total of RM3490 in 1 year..

Ok, so now..

RM3490 – RM2900 = RM590

So basically u’re paying RM590 for a year only..

And that will be RM50 per month??

With 333minutes calling per month and 5ooMB data per month..

So i think it’s still ok and worth it..

Better than u take the hassle to Singapore and buy the iPhone..

Anything wrong? then u have to go back Singapore..

With Maxis, u can go any Maxis store in the whole Malaysia..

So in the end i still got it from Maxis!! Hulala..

And ya, i bought the 16Gb version.

These few days will be busy exploring it.. haha..

And installing all the medical apps into it..

    Looks like all those who bought this phone thru Maxis have been con to buy their data packages, which they claim is cheap. For those buying this phone, without a data plan better be prepared to burn a hole in your pocket. With all the praise by the promoters, who claim this as a smart phone, i think it is not so. While using the phone to browse in a WIFI zone, you can still incur data charges without you releasing that the connection to WIFI has dropped for no apparent reason and so the called “smart” phone is using your EDGE/GPRS signal. After getting the phone, i had to pay almost RM 250.00 for mobile internet charges for a mere 30MB data. Have you guys out there, ever wonder how to make a video call with this phone? Till today, i still cannot use the bluetooth feature to connect to other phone models.
    So, before you get this phone, think 100x.

    If no u ask me whether to buy iPhone or not, my answer will be nope!! Go buy htc or blackberry or nokia then buy 1 iPod touch is much much better.. U only want that apps function n all other phone functions are much better in other phone.. Unless u have data plan then it’s still ok.. But in Malaysia, data plans are still very expensive and not worth the price..
