Nowadays lots of doctors are using PDA.. WHY?? Even my UNI also got ppl buy PDA for their clinical years.. So u can see that doctor’s PDA phone is diff from normal ppl.. hehe.. with all the softwares and applications..

Look at this!!

http://www.healthsystem.virginia.edu/internet/ome/edtech/pda_recom.cfm

PDA is required for the medical students in the UNI!! Haha.. What a modern Medical Faculty in western country..

I googled the net and found all these..

Palm Treo 750

O2 XDA Flame

ASUS P750

Blackberry 8830

From http://hp84.blogspot.com

I bought O2 XDA Atom 3 weeks ago from The Brilliant PDA Expert, Low Yat Plaza. This is currently the cheapest WIFI PDA phone in the market. I use my Adsense earning to buy this PDA phone. If you’re planning to buy PDA, I highly recommend this Brilliant PDA Expert Shop. They provide good after sales service and can take thousands of medical e-books from them. They have branches in Low Yat, Midvalley, Sunway Pyramid, The Curve and PJ Digital Mall.

So does this mean that the doctors can refer to the books in their PDA? that’s good!!

Malaysian PDA Doctor is maintained by Dr Hakimi Zainal Abidin. I am an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist currently attached to Universiti Teknologi Mara. I’m obsessed with PDA’s and currently using HP Ipaq 6365. Prior to this I’m a keen user of Palm Powered PDA’s, particularly Sony Clie , and am also infatuated with Sony Ericsson (previously Ericsson) Symbian OS powered mobile phone.

Didn’t mention what’s the purpose.. hehe..

  5. LWJ Says:

ok..thx..anyway, how to choose a pda phone?y u buy o2?palm?plam os or windows mobile?

  6. PuiWen Says:

It’s true. My bro in law (currently a doc in SGH) also bought a pda for his clinical years..

  7. LWJ Says:

wow..then what is his purpose of buying? really that useful? y dont u buy 1? hehe..buy 2 la.. 1 for u and 1 for me..haha..

  8. kaya Says:

go for windows mobile 6.0, no one uses palm os in the UK anymore. By the way the phones up there are crap to be honest. The best phones out there currently are the HTC series, especially the HTC TyTN Kaiser II. You might also want to check out the Toshiba Protege.

  9. LWJ Says:

oh,heard HTC be4 also.. y not palm OS anyway?just being curious..

  10. kaya Says:

Because Windows Mobile is easier to use. It’s just like using your laptop and beginners friendly. The Palm OS has been out of the mainstream market for quite a while now over here, as if you look at all the pda phones here barring old models, they all use Windows Mobile. So yea I’d personally go for something which is more common on the market compared to some defunct junk.

  11. kaya Says:

by the way the o2 XDA Flame is a HTC model. O2 rebranded it after buying from them.

  12. LWJ Says:

wah..rebranded? then everything still the same as HTC except the name? hehe..

  13. kaya Says:

sometimes they add additional functions, sometimes they just redesign it and keep the functions as they are
