While teachers elsewhere were showered with gifts and gratitude, those at SMK Belara in Manir (Kuala Terengganu), near here, were pelted with stones and sticks.
Two groups of about 50 students launched the attack on the teachers at about 8am, just as they were celebrating Teachers Day with 1,300 students.
They fired stones using catapults and threw sticks and pieces of wood at several classrooms.
Teachers and their students scurried for cover from the bombardment that lasted about half an hour. Several window panels of the classrooms were damaged but no one was injured.
The first attack came from a gang of 20 students outside the main entrance and the second, from 30 students in the school field.
School authorities believed that the culprits were facing disciplinary action and had combined forces to exact revenge against the teachers.
The students fled on motorcycles when patrol cars arrived at the scene.
“Teachers should not keep silent if they have such wayward students. These boys should be expelled,” he said.
What the hell is going on nowadays? Bashing up teachers instead of celebrating Teacher’s Day? I feel very disappointed as you know, teachers teach us from small and provide us knowledge. How can we beat up teachers while we can’t even repay their kindness??
My form 6 school teachers, Mr Tay = Chemistry, Mr Henry = Maths T, Mr Chia = Biology & Mr Amran = General study (PA) are good and dedicated teachers.. 3 of them are my tuition teachers as well!! I’m very grateful for their guidance..
As you know.. I do not talk much.. So can’t really express out my feelings in front of them.. So just give a present as a token of appreciation.. Hope they can feel it.. lol..
Bear in mind : If a teacher scold,beat or punish you, means they care for you! If they do not care for you, they won’t bother you anymore..
Same things apply to you, think about it.

i hate that guy. He is such a jerk when my dad went to SSI to collect my cert on my behalf. Keep on telling that there is no certificate for SPM 1119 and challenge my dad to produce proof. Hope Henry Tan or Beh’s dad showed the cert to that wanker afterwards and let him realised his pathetic mistake! Don’t know don’t speak mah…think himself cannonking meh. Sheer ignorance, hmmmph!>_

But not all teachers are like that. There are a few good teachers in SSI too, albeit not many. For example Mr Beh certified 4 certs for me although i only need 1 cert only, advised me to keep them as backups when go overseas, and Mr Chang was also very helpful showing my dad around and asking teachers on his behalf. Kudos to thosse two
